Fun In The Snow!!

When the snow fell last week, we grabbed the opportunity to make the most of it. Mrs Winstanley brought sledges in for us to take turns riding, we made snow angels and snowmen and threw snowballs at the metal shed, enjoying the sound they made as they landed. We had lots of opportunities to talk to the children about the properties of snow (cold, wet, fluffy, white, soft) and looked at what happens when snow is held in a warm hand. We all had a ball! Take a look at what we got up to.

Watching what happens when we skim the snow off surfaces.

It might be snowy but we're still brave enough to try out the wobble board!
Perfect outfit for creating snow angels in!
Sledge rides!

We all literally pulled together to ensure everybody had a good time.

Going solo down the slope.

Wheeeeee!!

A pull and a push. This must have been an extra fast ride!

How could any of us feel the cold putting in all this effort?

Super fast down the slippery slope!

Adding a hat and scarf to our snowman.

We found some playground chalk and gave him a happy face.

If you're missing the snow, why don't you have a go of this fun snow race game? Click on the picture below and it will take you directly to the game.
